‘Project TOWU’ is an eSports ready real time strategy game, playable both in network/online as well as in a local/couch multiplayer setting, designed to be both fun to play and to watch. To enable local multiplayer, a smart device such as a tablet/phone is used as a game controller. The game relies heavily on macro-management and emphasizes planning over clicking. Its innovative and minimalist control-scheme makes it easy to learn while being hard to master, ensuring plenty of replayability. The lack of traditional concealment mechanics such as a ‘Fog of War’ encourages long-term planning rather than ‘hide and seek’ approaches sometimes found in other RTS titles.
